German Direct Sales brand Radon has given their ever-popular Swoop a makeover for 2020 – with 170mm travel, the new Radon Swoop is targeted at the enduro rider who doesn’t want to wait for uplifts, but still wants to shred some serious trail – both in the bike park and outside of it.
The 2020 Radon Swoop will be available in three different specs, with the “entry-level” SWOOP 9.0 coming in at at €2,999, the SWOOP 10.0 costing you just shy of 4k (save the euro for a supermarket beer) and the “everything but the kitchen sink” Swoop 10.0 HD (why not UHD?) costing you a pretty €4,499.00.
All models share the same internally routed carbon front triangle and aluminium rear, coming with 29in wheels and clearance for up to 2.6in tyres. It’s a big travel beast with 170mm travel at the front, and 170mm in the rear. There adjustable headset gives riders a choice of 63.5° or 65° when it comes to head angle, paired with a seat-angle of 76°. Across three sizes – M/L/XL – the chainstays come in at a whopping 438mm, making this a pretty long machine.
